Host Ricky Nord is a Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ whose passion for electronic music began during his young teens, exposing him to artists such as Avicii and Armin Van Buuren. Originally born in Dijalang/Geelong, he moved to Naarm/Melbourne for University and began DJing in 2017. Ricky has performed at festivals such as Let Them Eat Cake and Beyond the Valley and has been featured on line-ups around Naarm/Melbourne, Eora/Sydney, Meanjin/Brisbane, and Mulubinba/Newcastle.

Ricky's sound is not genre-specific; instead, it is focused on the higher energy realm of dance music. This focus has translated into the theme of Club Elevate as a podcast and music label, where the sounds, mixes, and releases aim to reflect club-tool and festival-focused music.
